This review aims to present some of the key axes structuring the book O desejo de psicanálise: exercícios de pensamento lacaniano by Gabriel Tupinambá, as well as to highlight its theoretical and practical relevance regarding the challenges of contemporary psychoanalytic practice. To this end, it will carefully examine some of the fundamental categories both constructed and revisited in the work—such as the notion of a Lacanian ideology and the political economy of the clinic—alongside an overview of certain antecedents and theoretical affiliations. The conclusion, in short, is that the work represents a convergence of efforts by analysts, analysands, and even psychoanalysis enthusiasts toward a different experience of the clinic.
