This view allows us to measure the influence of the coloniality of power. Thus, the processes of colonization and its continuity as coloniality and direct influence on the way in which regional institutions and societies have structured themselves, as well as the late insertion and the dependent form in world capitalism, can not be disregarded. Thus, within the categories of coloniality of power and dependence, it is possible to objectify an understanding of the construction and structure of the State in Our America, especially if one considers the peripheral condition of the continental economy aggravated by a scenario of institutional crisis of the modern State. Faced with this problem, it is possible to reflect on the phenomena such as globalization and neoliberalism have accelerated the process of appearance of the contradictions inherent to the capital and institutional system in force. Given the current paradigm, it is proposed a reflection on the state of the art of regional institutional political power. The study was developed based on the bibliographical technique, with a theoretical basis: it is therefore restricted to explore the current panorama on the theme, raising, revisiting and examining the main categories for a better understanding of the theme.
The general objective of this academic article is to analyze possible contemporary projections of Max Weber's modern concept of legitimate authority in the current impolitical context, referred to by experts as one of erosion, deconsolidation, and democratic regression. The specific objectives correlative to that general would be three. First, to analytically reconstruct the specific grammatical constellation into which Max Weber introduces his own definition of legitimate authority. Secondly, to present the conceptual and normative bases of two anti-democratic and anti-republican political theories, known as technocratic libertarian and decisionist populist. Thirdly, to offer arguments in defense of a reflexive republican democracy, as well as for the rejection of a technocratic libertarian model and a populist decision-making one, taking advantage of the theoretical contributions made by Max Weber and other theorists.
2025-10-01T08:47:14-03:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Libertas: Revista de Pesquisa em Direito
