Um estudo sobre a trajetória de Guillermo Furlong SJ

Abstract

This article aims to reconstruct the trajectory of the Argentine historian Guillermo Furlong SJ, mainly in terms of his training, the influences he received from his readings and contact with other intellectuals, and the network of collaborators he formed and that enabled the writing and publication of many of his works. We will seek to understand the Furlong’s intellectual development, thinking, specifically the cultural baggage which he used to write biographies of missionaries who acted as professional healers in the River Plate eighteenth century.
