A biografia e seu papel na imigração Sírio-libanesa

Abstract

Nowadays the biographical genre has occupied a central role in historical productions, and the use of its methodology can be quite beneficial to the immigration studies, because these tend to consider the immigrant as a collective actor regardless of their differences, both between different nationalities, as a individual in a same group, these differences will impact both in terms of political decisions, as in economic and social action. The article uses this methodology to analyze the trajectory of an immigrant from Syrian colony, Rizakallah Jorge Tahan, and his position related to it.
