Abstract

Starting with Levi’s and Bourdieu’s theoric conceptions and adopting Mozzarelli’s methodological perspective, this article will try to advance into the comprehension of some questions evolving the negotiation of politic powers in Portugal’s Ancien Régime. For that, we will analyze the trajectory of D. Henrique, King of Portugal, focusing in the negotiation of a possible marriage, backing up principally on authors like Sousa Costa, Rebelo da Silva, Queiroz Veloso and Jacqueline Hermann, besides sources of the times.
