About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The focus and scope of Caletroscopio, eISSN 2318-4574, is to promote and publish general research in the field of language and, more specifically, in the areas of linguistic and literary studies, as well as applied linguistics, examining their interfaces with studies in cultural memory, translation, and discursive practices. This journal seeks thereby to contribute to the development of research with a wide thematic and interdisciplinary audience, enabling the dialogue between language and a variety of other areas of knowledge.  It is published bi-annually by an established Editorial Board, comprised of researchers and academics drawn from national and international institutions, thereby ensuring an effective evaluation process by specialists in the various themes of the journal.

Peer Review Process

Submitted texts will be subject to two reviews undertaken  by members of the editorial board or ad hoc consultants.  Works receiving positive opinions and endorsed by members of the editorial board will be published.  Should the  work be accepted for publication, it will be published only after the author has included those modifications proposed by the reviewers. All articles, reviews or translations must be in Portuguese, meeting the standards of the journal and meeting all scientific and methodological norms.
