Abstract

Attempting to think an own way of lusophone theorization in Brazil, one that escapes both the acculturative import/translation of foreign theoretical texts that in large measure characterizes intelectual and academic life in the country and the nationalizing theorization based on an “subtraction” of all that would be foreign, but that also escapes the false solution to this dichotomy represented by the influential discourse of “Antropofagia”, this essay outlines, based in Derrida, the perspective of ex-appropriative translation in Brazilian Portuguese as a counter-hegemonic discursive pratice.
