Abstract

The text aims to reflect on the book Das partes abertas: ensaio sobre o gozo da matéria, written by the author Jonas Samudio and published by Amitié Casa Editorial, in Salvador, recently, in 2024. Based on the image of Santa Teresa d’Ávila, by the baroque sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini, from the 17th century, the book provokes a reflection on the gozo da matéria, in a way that evokes aspects of psychoanalysis, art, enjoyment and matter. Added to this is the fact that the book is constantly permeated by a poetic voice, which moves through its pages, without ever sharing the same space as prose writing.
