Documentos de desfiguração do homem
Abstract
Documents magazine, published by Georges Bataille along with Michel Leiris and Carl Einstein in 1929 and 1930, in Paris, is an important publication – and a starting point – to think of some questions abou t the human disfiguration project. From this publication we highlight the Bataille’s project “Critic Dictionary”, where starting from two entries – “report” and “dust”- we think of some points referring to text and image, a principle present throughout the existence of the magazine from which we identify the observations surrounding the human body as a shape that moves (Leiris), a burocratic prison (Bataille), a anthropological thickness of the form (Einstein) that make the Documents magazine a project to re-think the image of the man (especially its figuration) in the image itself.
