UM DIÁLOGO ENTRE E.T.A. HOFFMANN E WALTER BENJAMIN

Abstract

In this article we intend to discuss the characteristics of these automata in the work of German writer ETA Hoffmann, specifically in The Automata and The Sandman, through the lens of the philosopher Walter Benjamin. We will establish relationships between works hoffmannianas and Benjamin cites studies in which the theme of these inorganic beings. Highlighting the aspects that we consider most important for the realization of this approach, namely the proximity between human and robot, the gestural approach between automata and proletarian, and eventually the feature relative to inorganic fetishist. But betore we speculate about such characteristics is necessary a briet summary of the tales hottmannianos.
