A HABITAÇÃO COMO ESPAÇO DE HABITUAÇÃO

Abstract

This article pretend to expose a short history of habit through inhabits transformations, since nineteen-century, trom the Walter Benjamin's writes. Habituation is a temporal process of formation of habits at the inhabitation space. The definitions variation of the concept of inhabit and their derivatives terms, allows to demonstrate an inner dialectic of their envelopment, polarized between permanence and transience. For a history of this concept, should be investigated at first the pivot point between the anterior and posterior forms of conjugation at the inhabitations spaces. This point of inflection and rupture, that's concentrate the switches-over poles, is designated by as the origin of those forms and identified by Benjamin with the nineteen-centuries Parisian Arcades. These buildings unfold in the intérieur, art nouveau, iron and glass architectures. In each one, the concept is reformulated: inhabit means "leave traces", consists in "to make a cocoon", and as a transitive verb, consist yet in a "frenetical actuality". After all, remains the question if and how inhabit is possible.
