AS RAZÕES DO JUÍZO E DA CRÍTICA NA CRISE DO CINEMA
Abstract
This article aims to deal with the discussion between judgment and criticism in the current cinematographic production, taking into account concepts like cultural industry, society of masses and culture of masses. This shows in which way the cinema of our society has turned into leisure and entertainment, trying to make evident that the artistic creation has become an automatic reproduction of consumption, more precisely the cinema as standardization and adaption. The cultural industry manipulates the cinema, which does not need to present itself as art, just doing it as simple illusion of coherence and the possibility of choosing the subject. It's necessary to rescue the spirit of the art of thought and reflection, and this can be built through judgment and criticism, fundamental elements for the subject that thinks of making a judgment of the shown art. The problem of mas production of artistic models that disseminate and standardize the creation demands more criticism from the subject, not less. The role of criticism and judgment is shown as fundamental to balance the situation of approach between what is art and what is not.
