Abstract

Deals with the problem around understanding the epistemological proposals in the treatment of public policy. For that uses the concept of public policy term, especially those offered by Saravia and Di Giovanni, in order to demonstrate that there is an inherent complexity to the adopted assumptions that can lead to different forms of state action. It shows that there are different ways of conceptualizing and enjoy the concept or notion of rationality, and then promote the clash between these ways of understanding the concepts of rationality and addressed public policy. Presents, finally, the need for exchanges between academia and government sectors in charge of managing public policies.
