Abstract
This article views one discussion about how can we learn some symbols of the African and the Afro-American politic cultures, rebuilding the history of one African in the slavery quotidian at the XIX century. For this, between others fonts, we use one process of murderer from 1849 year. Focusing the positionings of the witness in front of the ways and the social relationships of the acused, we try identify some conceptions of freedom, justice and slavery in the intercourse of tree ways of thoughts in collapse in the document: (1) that one from the justice and its representations, (2) that one from the local slavery society of Minas Gerais and (3) that one from the African accused.
