Abstract
This paper analyses the organization and creation of politic movement that defends Professional of Sex rights and for their valorization on the city of Rio de Janeiro. It was influenced by politic context of 1980 decade, when was organized the I National Meeting of Prostitutes in 1987 and established the Prostitutes Brazilian Network. This movement achieves great success on sexual diseases prevention and has had considerable results on prostitutes self-stigma improvement. We use the Oral History methodology and the support of written sources available on ONGs that was visited.
