About the Journal

Radiofonias – Journal of Audio Media Studies (ISSN 2675-8067), formerly Radio-Leituras, is a publication of the Communication Postgraduate Program of the Federal University of Ouro Preto, the Convergence and Journalism Research Group (ConJor) and the Radio and TV Center (NRTV) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). It is supported by the Radio and Sound Media Research Group of the Brazilian Society of Interdisciplinary Communication Studies (Intercom). The purpose of the publication is to be a space for analysis and reflection on radio, sound media, radio journalism and convergence processes that dialogue directly or indirectly with the various modes of sound communication. The journal aims to be a space for debate and stimulation for the development and diffusion of scientific knowledge, contributing, along with other efforts and initiatives, to the growth of the field of radio studies and sound media as a whole. Thus, the publication intends to address methodological and conceptual issues of the study of radio and sound media, also stimulating interdisciplinarity in the proposed approaches and dialogue with researchers from other countries. Radiofonias prioritizes publications derived from postgraduate research, previously unpublished. It is intended for researchers, teachers, professionals and students of communication and specifically radio.
