Some philosophical affinities between Martin Heidegger and Walter Benjamin
Abstract
From the exposition and analysis of the tensions produced by Walter Benjamin’s reading of Martin Heidegger’s work, this article seeks to show that while Heidegger tries to save philosophy from the historicization of modern thought, Benjamin, on the other hand, think about history through the philosophical prism. As a result, both produce a decisive reflection on the understanding of the phenomena of time and history that can be better understood by affirming the affinities between Benjamin and Heidegger.
