Pintura rupestre geométrica

Análise de obras da Serra da Capivara

  • Carla Beatriz Franco Ruschmann UFPR

Abstract

This article is divided into two parts. The first presents concepts about geometric works created in prehistoric times and their trajectory throughout the history of art. In the second part, a model of formal analysis is proposed, based on the fundamentals of visual language, previously applied to the analysis of contemporary geometric artworks. From this model, and allowing space for other perspectives, the author analyzes a series of geometric rock paintings from Serra da Capivara that share a certain similarity: the representation of human groups. The study aims to build connections between different fields of knowledge and to provide elements for a deeper understanding of the forms produced during that period, contributing to their interpretation and analysis.
