The Repression of the body in modernist painting.
Abstract
In this article we intend to discuss the extent to which the modernist discourse developed by Clement Greenberg about Jackson Pollock’s painting presents it as a thoughtful and methodical work, without mentioning its bodily dimension, differing from other possible readings.
