Diving in the Blue Sprectrum: somatic performative practices in the sea with my autistic son

Abstract

Presentation and discussion of some somatic-performative practices with my autistic son Lucio Di Franco, since 2018, part of the project Merger as Research: Somatic-performative creation and composition from invisible disabilities and/in fluid environments. At first, some medical updating supports the shift from classical psychiatric autism towards a more clinical dysfunction syndrome. Then, somatics is used as technical and aesthetic framework to widen the expressive possibilities with/in the fluid environment, developing more potent and integrated modes of existence.
