Abstract

This article reflects on the training and professionalization of artists with disabilities in Brazil. It identifies aspects that hinder the insertion of these people in the field of Dance, presenting the “compulsory bipedia”, a concept under development by the author, as a factor of exclusion and maintenance of power relations over this bodies. Understands post-abyssal thinking (SANTOS, 2010) as an alternative to blur the boundaries imposed by hegemonic thinking in Dance.
