Decolonizando Saberes e Fazeres Matemáticos Locais: Ações Decoloniais da Etnomatemáticas

Resumo

O atual sistema de educacional colabora para que os membros de culturas distintas enfrentem o imperialismo cultural, cujo aspecto colonial tem tornado as instituições educacionais um ambiente antidemocrático para o processo de ensino e aprendizagem em Matemática de alunos provenientes de grupos culturais minoritários e/ou marginalizados. Para combater esse imperialismo cultural, é necessário que os investigadores, professores e educadores se conscientizem sobre o processo de decolonização da Educação (Matemática) ao reconhecerem que o conhecimento matemático imposto, durante séculos às culturas conquistadas, é eurocêntrico, universal e acultural. Esse aspecto decolonizador da Etnomatemática pode ser desencadeado por meio da elaboração de ações pedagógicas decolonizadoras em salas de aula.
