O debate Lakatos-Kuhn revisitado: perspectivas racionalistas e empiristas de análise da ciência
Abstract
A história da ciência é o campo do qual partem os mais contundentes argumentos de eminentes filósofos da ciência em defesa das suas posturas teóricas. Modernamente, estas posturas metodológicas teoréticas delinearam-se por dois caminhos antagônicos: o empirismo, representado no artigo pela concepção de Thomas Kuhn, e o racionalismo, representado no artigo pelas posturas metodológicas de Imre Lakatos. Nesta perspectiva, examinam-se os argumentos de Lakatos, comparando-os com os de Thomas Kuhn, com a finalidade de mostrar que a prática científica não se radicaliza como um saber meramente intelectual, tampouco como uma prática puramente experimentalista. Com este propósito, analisa-se o caso Copérnico à luz da teoria da ciência de Lakatos. O trabalho procura então demonstrar que a racionalidade do desenvolvimento científico manifesta-se sem perder de vista a complexidade da história da ciência ou da prática científicaReferences
