Abstract

The aim of this study is to present and analyze Delaunay surfaces, which are surfaces of revolution with constant mean curvature. Using methods from differential geometry, we investigate the properties of the generating curves that define these surfaces and explore their geometric and analytical characteristics. Our findings include the identification of Delaunay surfaces such as cylinders, spheres, catenoids, nodoids, and unduloids. These surfaces are recognized as elegant and practical solutions for stability issues in fields such as structural design and biology. We conclude that studying Delaunay surfaces not only enriches the theoretical understanding of differential geometry but also offers valuable practical applications in various scientific and engineering disciplines.
